First Camping trip this year:)

This was not only our first camping trip this year....but the first time we got to use our recently purchased trailer:) With the heavy rain over memorial weekend we were beginning to wonder what in the sam hill we were doing. I think we had changed our minds five times before actually deciding to go and I am glad we did because the rain that we did get was all during the night or lasted for about twenty minutes or so and then passed. The weather was a little chilly but we had some fairly nice days:)
We camped in Swan Valley close to the dam and Jesse and I invited a few friends to come along with us over the weekend. It was alot of fun.
I don't know what it is....but for some reason my husband loves to play with the camp fire.....ALL DAY LONG....NEVER LETTING IT DIE! it is so funny he was choppin' down every dead tree in site and adding more fire wood to his already large pile. If anyone passed our camp they would of thought a bear had come through tearing down all the dead timber:) He says its just to keep me warm...thanks hun thats sweet:)
Now...now...you possibly can't tell that my husband enjoys studying soil conservation and range management by is outfit can you? :) He is cute no matter what!! This was a beautiful day and we were lucky enough to find this camping spot with no one next to us....we had quite a few people pass by on the motorcycles and four wheelers, but it was nice to be able to run our generator and not have to worry about anyone else hearing it.
When it comes to dutch oven....my husband is always there!...He loves this part of camping...he cooked everyone such wonderful meals while we were up there.....THANK YOU HUN!! My favorites are his dutch oven chicken and potatoes and apple cinnamon cobbler ....ITS SCRUMPTIOUS!!!

more mermorial weekend camping pics

This pictures was taken right before the first really bad storm hit us...you could barley see the last little bit of sun peeking over the mountains.
Twenty minutes later the sun was back out and boy was I grateful! It left more snow up on top and more mud in our campground...but hey at least the sun was out again.
Yes...yes....we did see Bigfoot pass thorough our campground a few times:) This is actually one of Jesse's work buddies and every now and then they will go paint balling together with a group of people and let me tell you....they get serious with there camo!
Jesse just waiting for the storm to pass so he can start the camp fire back up:)
Me and my sista! My family stopped by for a fun visit...my brother lives in Driggs so on their way over to visit my brother they decided to make a quick stop and enjoy the Party.

We are growin' our own :)

As some of you know....my husband is a plant slash agriculture lover! Its soooo funny....every plant, weed, tree or bush we pass its quiz time...I most often fail miserably...... So it is no surprise that he also likes to do a little bit of his own gardening. We attempted to do this last year but with trying to get in a front yard, do the landscaping and with our busy work schedules ....the garden was a little bit neglected to say the least:( But we are attempting it again this year and focusing on the back yard landscaping....I say "we" are attempting, but the gardening is mostly my husbands doings.. so it is all planted with corn, carrots radishes, beans and one pumpkin so....hopefully we have a better looking garden than the first attempt!:) Wish us luck!:)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!

Happy Birthday DAD!!!! We celebrated my dads birthday (which is on the 3rd of May) a couple weeks ago! He got a gift that he can use in the great outdoors:)....a pack stove...he loves to cook his fresh fish when we go back packing together, but the stove that he has now weighs like 4 lbs. Its insane....so we all got him one that is way lighter and much smaller to boil his water and cook his fish! Me and Jess hope he had a good birthday and enjoyed his present! We love you dad and can't wait for you to try out your new stove and go camping again!
Thanks to my little sis for all the ballons and banners.....oh and the nice streamers over dad and moms door:) she is hilarious!

Fun fishin'

Yep...its fishin' time again:)...Me, Jesse and a few of his buddies all decided to go fishing in Swan Valley on Saturday. It was such a beautiful day....it was nice to get out and finally see some sunshine. We fished for a few hours and it was actually pretty slow because they are letting out so much water and so the fishing wasn't so great, but we had a lot of fun.
GUESS WHO CAUGHT THE ONLY KEEPER!!!!! YEP....ME!! Oh you better believe I didn't let Jesse live this one down:) 16" Brown! Sense I'm not such a fish eater we decided to stop by Grandma and Grandpa Pasley's (who don't live to far from the dam) and gave it to them. It was nice to see them after their long vacation.

I can't believe the snow still!!! I wish it would just melt...we want to go camping memorial weekend, but I'm afraid the snow is going keep us from going where we want to go. This is a picture of some of Jesse's work buddies....frank, Tyson and his fiance Whittney. It was fun to take them along and go with a group.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day!! I want to wish my Mom a happy Mother's Day and take this opportunity to tell her how much I love her and appreciate her and to also say thank you for being a supporter, great mom and a wonderful friend! My parents have taught me the way to real happiness and for that I will be forever grateful! Thank you mom....I love you and I hope you had a great Mothers Day!
We all went out for pizza on Mom's special day....no mom wants to do dishes on Mother's Day :)...we all had fun eating and watching mom open up her gifts!

No Love like a Mother's Love

There is no love, like a mother's love,

no stronger bond on earth...

like the precious bond that comes from God,

to a mother, when she gives birth.

A mother's love is forever strong,

never changing for all time...

and when her children need her most,

a mother's love will shine.

God bless these special mothers,

God bless them every one...

for all the tears and heartache,

and for the special work they've done.

When her days on earth are over,

a mother's love lives on...

through many generations,

with God's blessings on each one.

Be thankful for our mothers,

for they love with a higher love...

from the power God has given,

and the strength from up above.

Happy Mother's Day to a wonderful mom and mother-in-law! I want Jesse's mom to know how much we love and appreciate her in our lives... She is a good example of Patients and Love....I want to let her know how grateful I am for the way she raised her son and for making him into the man he is today. He is a great husband and I couldn't ask for more! We both want our moms to know that we love and appreciate them both!

Jesse's nieces and nephews love spending time with him...and he is so great with kids...I know that he will be such a wonderful dad to our children when I someday become a mommy:)

We have the "camping itch"

The mountains seems to be me and Jesse's best getaway we love spending our time together in what we think is one of god's best creations....the mountains!!! We both have just been having that itch to go camping, but the weather will not allow us to go yet...hopefully it will warm up here soon for us! I found these pics that were taken on some of our camping trips last year and wanted to share with everyone....were hoping that by thinking "warm" the weather will hopefully do the same:) We purchased a camp trailer this winter and have not had the chance to use it yet...the key word being.. yet! I'm sure it will get a lot of use when the weather warms up a little. We are both excited.

THESE GLASSES ARE HILARIOUS!!! I don't know where Jesse got these hot lookin' pair of bug eyes...but I cannot tell you how hard I laughed when he turned around and had these on!...it was soooooo funny! I just had to take a picture ...I couldn't resist! This was taken on what felt like the top of the world...we went on a scenic for-wheeler ride last year it was so pretty.
Just doing what we do best....FISHIN' with my baby!!! He's so cute!!!..love ya hun!
This is a picture of me, my mom and my sis....COVERED in dirt....you learn real fast that you don't want to be the last one in line.....you eat every one's dirt!! Oh but my dad gets a kick out of zippin' by you when you least expect it and honkin' the horn on his motorcycle...while you are inhaling the clouds of his dust....oh sooooooo funny:) We have lots of fun together.
