A man's thoughts

So here I am on the blog and I get a wild hair to post something. I maybe a man, but I guess I can post a thought or two, even though I don't have many.
Last Saturday I found myself in the hills, it was cold and I could see my breath. As I laid there waiting for the sun to rise, I thought of Gods creations. I thought to myself God must have a great eye for color and beauty. I watched the sun rise slowly and saw the mixes of reds to orange to purple to blues. This was a scene I have seen before, but I was still amazed at the beauty that was there, and the peace I felt. The peaceful feeling might just have been my heart settling from the mountain I had just climbed, but I think it was something else entirely. What wonders one can see around us, and how blessed are we to see them and enjoy them. I have seen many of Gods creations this fall, canyons, animals, sunsets and rises. Some of which I have enjoyed with my wife, and others with friends. How blessed am I, to have seen these wonders and shared them with those I love. I am blessed with a loving wife and family. I look back on all that I have been through my heart problems and the stress I have caused my family and my poor wife, I can't help but be grateful. They are always there to support me and to be by my side even through the low points. God has truely blessed me, more than I deserve.

Fall season

Me and my husband love this time of year! We love to be in the mountains with the trees changing colors and most of all we cannot forget about HUNTING SEASON! This last weekend we went on a a hunting trip to swan valley to hunt elk....it was absolutely beautiful up there...It was a lot of fun to get away for the weekend! Jesse's grandma and grandpa Pasley let us stay in a club house that they have up there for family to stay in...and it was so nice to come back to some place warm and dry out our clothes from all the rain! We had a lot of close calls on bringing an elk home with us, but our first encounter was a small two by two (which by the way caught me by surprise and almost made me pee myself) and one other that was just in reach but I guess you could say not in a close enough reach to be in our truck:) Its too bad we didn't have a little bit more snow up on top to help bring the big ones down to us...but there is always deer season and next year to look forward too! We had a lot of fun hiking and seeing so much beautiful country!

This is the cabin that we got to stay in! It was so nice having some place warm to go back to:)

This is my new camo outfit I had bought a few things last year but this year I have the whole outfit complete now.....but I found out quickly this year that I really need a pair of gators so that the bottom of my pants are soaking wet when in rains! And.....big news...I am going to take hunters safety and get my hunting licence online...it will be fantastic...I just told my husband...."don't worry I already know....If its brown its down!" he just laughed...anyways wish me luck! :)

New blanket

Thanks to grandma Fullmer for this warm levi quilt! Me and Jesse had a few pairs of old jeans that we never wore and I was just about to toss them away... and Jesse mentioned that his grandma Fullmer might be able to make a quilt with all of our old levi's.....and sure enough she did! We absolutely love it! If you look closely it has our names on a few of the squares! It will get a lot of use....especially sense winter is approaching us! THANK YOU GRANDMA FULLMER! :)
