Camping in Stanley!!!

We went on a camping trip with my family a couple days ago and were able to stay in these beautiful mountains for a few days....we had so much fun I don't think either one of us wanted to come home! We did a little hiking, four wheeling, games, and of course a ton of fishing! Me and Jesse actually fished in a teeny tiny blow up boat just to get to some of the better holes on some of the lakes....oh it was hilarious I was laughing so hard at ourselves I probably scared away most of the fish, but we looked so dang ridiculous I couldn't help but laugh... tying to cast your pole was a trick in and of itself :)I will have to get a pic from my sis to show ya'll!

One of the funnest parts of camping for me is to see the wildlife....we get up early in the mornings to start our hikes and it always amazes me how much wildlife we see up there..... me and Jesse took this picture on our way back to camp from the store...we happened to see a lot of elk while we were up there....lets just hope that the wolves don't change that for us next year! I think I would be perfectly content living in a place like this... its just beautimous!
SMORES! SMORES! and more SMORES! gotta love them!
Me and my sis sitting by the campfire getting ready to eat yummy tin foil dinners!

Finally got to the lake on four wheelers....mind you we just ate dust for an hour or so....Poor Jesse....I think he was missing his motorcycle the whole hour....he claims he would have flew past the four of five riders in front of the family going a turtle speed of 6mph...I think everyone was hoping they would pull over and let us pass but we were wrong....instead they kindly decided to feed us there dust for 45 min.!! Thanks to Matt and Miss....for making the first bold passing move on the narrow road....flew past them in their own little brown fluffy cloud of dust allowing everyone else to follow! :)

Here are a few pictures of some of the places that we hiked too! My dad I think wins the award for the best mountain man!....that guy should be a mountain goat! Steep mountain sides don't seem to phase him at all, he is like the energizer bunny that just keeps going!

The river we hiked to had a lot of fish...but only one keeper caught by my hubby! It was sure fun to catch them all though!

Its kind of a tradition to stop and eat on the way home and we all usually stop at pickle's place and then head for home. We all had a great time and can't wait to do it again next year!

4TH OF JULY FISHIN'

We hope that everyone had a fun fourth of July! We missed the fireworks this year and both decided to do what we do best...fish!..We went with Jesse's grandpa Pasley and it was perfect weather! We all had a lot of fun...except for the bug bites that only Jessica got...they only seemed to have liked me! It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't swell up to balloon size....I loaded up on the benadryl the next day...that stuff should be illegal! Nothing makes me more loopy than benadryl but its all good now! :)
Jesse and Grandpa Pasley were the only lucky ones this day!....I tried worms, marshmallows, salmon eggs and every lure imaginable, but had no luck I told Jesse the luck will change when we go to Stanley in a few weeks....hey yeah baby...you just wait!!!!!!! :)

Line in the water....but no fish on the other end....beautiful day though and it still was a lot of fun!!

Gotta show your patriotic side somehow

My sister and Matt stopped by my house to do some hair coloring before the big firework show....she didn't even think twice...she handed Matt the spray can and said, "Ok go for it"...I told her to try it on Matt first (at least that's what I would have done) but she said in her sarcastic voice "getter done"....and just hoped that it washed out the next day! :) I think he Matt did a pretty good job!

Matt's turn....I don't think he was as willing as my sister ...but I think they had a lot of fun!

Way to show off your patriotic side guys......I could only imagine what Matt's family was thinking when they showed up at the big firework show with red and blue skunked hair! LOL! braver than me! Love ya sis! :)

Garden is coming along

My favorite flower is a lilly...I love them! We planted tons and tons of diffrent type of lilly's in our flower bed last year and never got to see them bloom....so I was pretty excited to come home from work a couple weeks ago and see this!!!! I wish they would last forever!
This picture was taken a few weeks ago...we have already eaten a few radishes out of our garden and they were scrumptious...so it is slowly but surely coming along.....its a lot of work to get a lawn started let alone a garden at the same time....it gets neglected once in a while, but we are trying to keep up on it the best we can while both working and Jesse is now getting ready for finals....he is so stressed, but he is doing great in school I am so proud of him!
